Agenda for 2010

Rose Hahn will be the speaker for the April meeting. She will be doing a workshop “Sign of Hospitality” on Tuesday. Her workshop fee is $450. Registration is $40 for members; we have 11 registrants so far.

Kathie Alyce, from Plainfield VT, will present “Our Passion for Quilting” at the May meeting and will lead a workshop “Flip Flop Blocks.”  Registration fee for members will be $30; there is a $25 materials fee per student.
Kathie is a designer of quilt patterns, The Flip Flop Block curved template, beautiful landscape patterns, lectures, and classes. She is a contemporary, award-winning quilter from Central Vermont. Kathie has been creating, designing, and teaching quilting for the past 20 years. She has received many awards for different pieces of work at all levels of competition. These awards range from judge's choice, people's choice, and first through third place ribbons. Kathie is working on a series of landscape wallhangings, painting backgrounds, and creating machine-worked trees. Her book, “Flip Flop Blocks, featuring FFB and all new quilt designs will be published by the American Quilt Society this fall. Kathie’s lecture on May 17th will be “Our Passion for Quilting.” On May 20th, Kathie will present a 6-hour workshop using her flip flop blocks. The cost for members is $30, plus $25 materials fee. The Program committee of Lois Tidey and Carolyn Chanoski has worked hard to bring you a series of speakers to educate and inspire you and to help you to grow as quilters. We are pleased to announce the upcoming programs and urge you to mark your calendars and plan to attend these meetings and workshops.

Unless otherwise noted, workshops are held at the Parish House at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 2925 Level Road (Route 155), Churchville Md. 21028.
The parish house is located on the right, about 1 block north of Rt 22 (Churchville Road).
Workshops begin at 9:00 a.m.
