The Flying Geese Quilt Guild was started in 1989 by a handful of women who wanted to learn more about quilting.  They started meeting in each other's homes, showing new techniques and learning from each other.
This group, over the years, eventually grew to it's present size of approximately 200 members.  The current members have a wide range of skill levels ranging from women just learning to quilt to others who are professional quilters.  But one of the best things about this guild is that the experienced quilters are more then willing to help the inexperienced quilters with questions or problems they might encounter.
The guild provides many opportunities to learn and to have fun with quilting, whether it's with workshops, trips, retreats, bees or using our lending library.

Inspiration From Squiggles and Dots
This lecture was inspired while on vacation in Florida. The wallpaper in the hotel room shouted out to me - "I would make a great quilt." I started looking at the world and objects around me and found lots of inspiration from everything from wallpaper to sidewalks to wine labels to wrought iron gates. Using photos and finished quilts, you will see how inspiration can be transformed into a quilted piece.
